Who we are

Marianne Jennings, trading as Knowledge Nugget Media ("we", "us", "our"), is the data controller for the Book Discoverability Score, a tool that helps authors audit and improve the clarity of their Amazon book listing.

What we collect

When you use the tool, you submit your book listing details (title, subtitle, description, keywords, categories, cover notes, and optional A+ content notes or screenshots). You may optionally include an Amazon URL to help identify the listing you want to assess. We do not crawl Amazon or other marketplaces.

To unlock your full report, we ask for your email address and, optionally, your first name. No account or payment information is required.

How we use it

• Score generation — your book data is sent to an AI model to produce your discoverability score and recommendations.
• Report storage — once you enter your email, we store your report (email, first name, book title, Amazon URL, scores, and the full report content) so you can reference it later.
• Purchase emails — if you purchase a paid report, we use your email to send a confirmation with a link to your unlocked report.
• Waitlist — if you join our course waitlist, your email and first name are sent to our email service provider (Kit, formerly ConvertKit) to manage the waitlist. Every email includes an unsubscribe link.

What we use your information for

We use the information you submit to generate your Book Discoverability Score report, improve the user experience, provide support, process payments where applicable, and maintain the security and functionality of the service.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your submitted book data.
• We do not use your submitted listing information to train public AI models. Your submissions are sent to third-party AI providers (see below) solely to generate your report, subject to those providers' own terms.
• We do not use your book data to create competing books.
• We do not publish your report publicly without permission.
• We don't sell or share your data with third parties beyond those listed below.
• We don't track you across the web.
• We don't use cookies.

Data deletion

You may request deletion of your submitted listing information and report data at any time by emailing us at hello@knowledgenuggetbooks.com. We aim to remove your data within 30 days of a verified request. See "Data retention" below for the standard retention window.

Data use & permitted scope

Book Discoverability Score works primarily with listing information supplied by you — your title, description, keywords, cover notes, screenshots, and any context you choose to provide. If you include an Amazon URL, it is used only to help identify the listing you want to assess. We do not crawl Amazon, perform bulk extraction, scrape competitor listings, or harvest, store, or summarize the text of individual reader reviews. Any qualitative themes or excerpts in your report come from what you choose to enter in the form.

By submitting a listing you confirm that you own it, represent the rights holder, or otherwise have permission to assess it. You agree not to use the tool to analyze books you do not have rights to, to collect reviewer personal information, or to engage in any activity that violates Amazon, KDP, Goodreads, or other marketplace terms. Third parties involved in processing

To deliver your score and process payments, your data may pass through:

• Lovable Cloud — hosts the site and runs the serverless backend.
• Lovable AI — generates the score and recommendations from the data you submit.
• Paddle — our Merchant of Record, handling payment processing, tax compliance, subscription management, and invoicing.
• Amazon — referenced only via the optional listing URL you provide to help identify your book.
• Kit (ConvertKit) — email service provider used to manage the course waitlist.

Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, request path) may be retained briefly by the hosting layer for security and abuse prevention.

Lawful basis for processing

We process your data based on consent. By entering your email to unlock your report, you consent to us storing your report data and sending you occasional emails about book discoverability. You can withdraw consent at any time (see Your rights below).

Data retention

We keep your stored report and email address for as long as your account is active on our email list. If you unsubscribe or request deletion, we remove your data within 30 days.

Your rights

Under applicable data-protection laws (including GDPR), you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Correction — ask us to fix any inaccurate information.
• Deletion — ask us to delete your stored report and email data.
• Portability — receive your data in a common, machine-readable format.
• Withdraw consent — unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in every message, or email us directly.
